ESTHER BAUM

Esther Baum, of blessed memory, was a lifelong community activist. Named as one of U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff’s fifteen women of the year in 2020, she also served for many years on the city of West Hollywood’s Senior Advisory Board.

Esther was an active participant in many activities including at her synagogue Kol Ami and at the JFS West Hollywood Senior Comprehensive Center. Through the JFS Connect Program in 2019, Esther was paired with volunteer Carlo Brandon-Gordon. A friendship bloomed quickly between the like-minded pair – together they enjoyed many afternoons together including many lunches at Nerano in Beverly Hills. Esther became like a family member to Carlo, his husband Andy, and their children. 

There were many causes close to Esther’s heart including empowering women.

On Sunday October 29th we will celebrate her memory in the best way we know how – having fun, enjoying a fantastic lunch, and raising funds for a good cause.
