Support for people in need due to the wildfires is available through Jewish Family Service Los Angeles’ Central Access Line at (877)275-4537 and by emailing services@jfsla.org. Social workers can connect people with JFSLA services and programs and provide referrals to other providers.
For those in need of food or personal care items, the SOVA Community Food and Resource Program provides access to fresh healthy groceries, essential personal care items and connections to additional resources. The SOVA West Food Pantry is located at 8846 W. Pico Blvd. For information, visit jfsla.org/program/food-pantries.
Seniors in need can receive assistance through JFSLA’s neighborhood dining centers, which serve hot, nutritious lunches Monday through Friday at 13 locations across Los Angeles. For a list of locations and age eligibility for the meal centers, call (323)937-5843, or visit jfsla.org/program/dining-centers.
