Fire Assistance

JFSLA is deeply saddened by the widespread devastation caused by the Los Angeles wildfires. Our thoughts are with those in our communities impacted by this tragedy, and we are here to provide help.

If you need support, please call our Central Access line at 877-275-4537 or email services@jfsla.org. Our social workers can connect you with JFSLA services and programs and provide referrals to other providers.

If you are able to help, please reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@jfsla.org or 323-556-2928. Some of our volunteers have been impacted by the fires, and we are recruiting additional help.

For specific needs, here are additional resources available to everyone in the community:

SOVA Community Food & Resource Program: Open to anyone needing access to fresh, healthy groceries, essential personal care items and connections to additional resources for individuals and families. SOVA offers kosher options, and you can choose the food that works best for you. Visit jfsla.org/food-pantries.

If you are experiencing domestic violence, please call our 24-hour Crisis Line: (818) 505-0900 or (323) 681-2626.

Resources for seniors:

Neighborhood dining centers: Open to seniors needing hot and nutritious lunches. The dining centers are open Monday-Friday, with 13 locations across Los Angeles. Kosher dining is available at select centers. For a list of hours, locations and age eligibility for the meal centers, please visit jfsla.org/dining-centers or call the JFS Senior Nutrition Office at (323) 937-5843.

If there is any way we can assist you, please do not hesitate to let us know. The well-being of the community is our top priority. We encourage you to reach out with any questions or immediate needs.
