Through the Jewish Community Burial Program, JFS serves low-income members of the community by providing a free burial in the Jewish tradition. The program operates according to strict financial eligibility guidelines. A financial screening is completed by a JFS social worker on the deceased individual, as well as on all first degree relatives. Pre-need arrangements can also be made, allowing the mourners to worry about as little as possible.
